Leonardo Herrera is a NYC-based visual artist, filmmaker, writer and advocate with a focus on gay anthropology.
Current project include the documentation HIV Criminalization through The Sero Project, videography for Lucas Entertainment, nightlife films for Saint at Large, Josh Wood and Susanne Bartsch. Notable past projects include the documentation of Harvey Milk’s assassination suit for the International GLBT Historical Society 20th Anniversary and an award-winning safe-sex ad campaign for the SF Health Department as well as the promotion Frameline Film Festival. He has created music videos for club legends Ultra Nate’, Amanda Lepore and Cazwell and produced a float for US Love Parade and a camp for Burning Man. His work has been published in i-D Fashion Magazine, Village Voice Media, The SF Bay Guardian, DNA & Butt Magazine.
